Avenue Magazine past nominee for ‘Top 40 Under 40', Ksenia Thurgood has performed across Canada, U.S. and Europe as an actor, singer, dancer, improviser and choreographer.

At the age of 12, Patsy Swayze (Patrick's mother) heard Ksenia sing, awarded her a scholarship followed by words of encouragement "to keep singing", so she did. Before moving to Monteal, Ksenia was seen and heard on numerous regional theatre stages, some highlights include: Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Theatre Calgary), She in He Said, She Said (Lunchbox Theatre), Rumpelteazer in CATS (Theatre Calgary), Beatrice in John + Beatrice (Verb Theatre) to The Critic's Choice Award nomination for her role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (Alberta Theatre Projects).

Ksenia was drawn to Montreal as it felt like home while reminding her of a small Berlin with it's incredible street art. She is forever grateful for the move, as she has developed a second language as well as extended her screen work which ranges from MOWs to Indies to commercials. Highlights: All My Husband's Wives' starring Kelly Rutherford (CRAVE), Thicker Than Water (CRAVE) and Live From The Beanduck, an improvised internet series.

Though a self-confessed music nerd with her Royal Conservatory of Music training, Ksenia's speaking voice can be heard in numerous tv shows, movies, videogames, cartoons, educational videos and commercials. From narration to dubbing to versioning, she adores working behind a mic showcasing her vocal prowess.

Would be remiss not to mention Ksenia's dance and improvistion careers. As a child, she was cast to dance with the Alberta Ballet in The Nutcracker. Then she toured Canada with Dance Traces and her own company Automatic Groove, which also toured Bosnia and Herzegovina with Sass Jordan (among other artists) entertaining Canadian peace keepers. Her choreography has been seen across live theatres in Canada with a highlight being Calgary Opera's La Traviata. Ksenia rarely dances now, but she still uses her extensive years performing to correct other's alignment and muscular engagement with her wellness company La Technique.

When not on screen, stage or internet, Ksenia can be found learning daily from her toddler.
